From Oregon Flora, Gardening with Natives:

The western wallflower is one of the showiest of the brassicas. Blooming late spring to mid-summer, racemes of 4-petaled flowers in saturated yellow with reddish-orange undertones add vibrant color to rocky slopes and dry meadows. This fast-growing and drought tolerant wildflower prefers full sun and well-drained sandy to rocky soils. It is a larval host plant and is ideal for a dry spot in the butterfly garden.
