From Oregon Flora, Gardening with Natives:

Tolmie's cat's ear, or Tolmie's mariposa lily, is a bulbed perennial wildflower with unique blooms that emerge in late spring. The flowers bloom singly or in clusters and consist of three densely hairy petals that vary in color from white to light mauve and are subtended by three greenish to purple sepals. The blue-green basal leaves are born singly and can extend past the flowering stem. It requires well-drained soil and adds interest to perennial bulb borders, wildflower meadowscapes, and woodland gardens.
