From Oregon Flora, Gardening with Natives:
Buckbrush is a fragrant evergreen shrub with white or baby blue flower clusters blooming in spring and engulfing the leaves and branches in a wispy cloud. Ideal for including in a pollinator hedgerow. Later in the season and through the winter, thick holly-like foliage and grayish branches provide attractive understory interest in woodland gardens. Buckbrush grows naturally in rock soils and can be planted to fix nitrogen and prevent erosion.
